Millions of people currently being trafficked. So many that we dont have an accurate number of how many people are currently enslaved. Experts estimate that anywhere from 25 Million to 40 Million people are currently being trafficked worldwide. There are 195 countries recognized by the UN, 142 of which have a population less than 25 Million.
There are more people being trafficked worldwide than the populations of many countries.
There are more people being trafficked than the population of the several countries combined.
This does not just happen outside of the US.
It is everywhere

Be aware of what you buy: Try to learn where your things come from. Useful sites include ResponsibleSourcingTool.org, or check out the Department of Labor’s List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor. Encourage companies to take s teps to prevent human trafficking in their supply chains and publish the information, including supplier or factory lists, for consumer awareness.
Volunteer and support anti-trafficking efforts in your community.Reach out to your local or state reprentatives to find out what is currently being done or new ways you can help
